Currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Hepatology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (under Government of NCT of Delhi), Dr Vikrant Sood was the first certified Pediatric Hepatologist and Liver Transplant Physician in the country. He later underwent advanced training in pediatric liver transplantation and metabolic liver diseases at the prestigious UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA. His entire team has been instrumental in establishing a fully functional Liver unit which is well equipped for prompt management of infectious, metabolic and hereditary liver diseases in children, including successfully running the only public sector Pediatric liver transplant program in the country
