Professional Narrative

Dr. Robert Kalyesubula is a senior lecturer, nephrologist and head of department of the Physiology at Makerere University who received his Uganda. He is an adjunct Asst prof. at Yale University, University of Vermont, both in USA and Mc Master University in Canada. Dr Kalyesubula completed a masters of internal medicine from Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS). He did part of his residence training in McMaster University in Canada, and a fellowship at Yale University. He holds a PhD in epidemiology of non-communicable diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.  Dr Kalyesubula is the founder and president of Uganda Kidney Foundation.  He is a researcher and mentor with over 75 peer reviewed publications.

He has comprehensive knowledge in community based research in low income countries as well as grantsmanship skills.
