Professional Narrative

Richard L. Sidman received his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School. He is Bullard Professor of Neuropathology, Emeritus and Head of the Division of Neurogenetics at Harvard Medical School and the New England Regional Primate Research Center. His research interests include analysis of cell proliferation, migration, differentiation and degeneration in the mammalian brain, particularly as expressed in mice with inherited diseases of the nervous system. He has long been involved in teaching neuroanatomy, neuropathology, and developmental neurobiology. He is the Principal Invesigator on this High Resolution Brain Atlas project.
