My main research activity addresses the psychopathology and psychopharmacology of addiction and mood disorders. In particular, my research aims to show the clinical utility of treating the underlying psychopathology of addiction with different types of integrated treatments:
medication (including off-label) and psychotherapy. From a psychopathological point of view, my work aims to demonstrate the continuum of neuropsychiatric disorders, focusing on cross-sectional dimensions. By providing evidence, this body of research has an important impact on the treatment of of neuropsychiatric disorders and intends to develop new scenarios in the understanding of their of their etiology.
