Professional Narrative

Dr.Szalat studied Medicine at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, in Paris, France before doing his residency in internal medicine, also in Paris. He specialized in plasma cell disorders including multiple myeloma and monoclonal gammopathies of clinical significance. He  completed a clinical fellowship in the department of Immuno-Hematology in Saint-Louis hospital, Paris and in Hematology and Oncology at the Boston University Medical Center. He completed a PhD in hematology studying genomics in Multiple Myeloma at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School in collaboration with La Sorbonne University, Paris. He also specialized in Immunology by completing a master degree and a medical degree. He is currently the multiple myeloma program director at the Boston University Medical Center and he focuses on clinical practice in plasma cell disorders. My focus is to develop clinical trials and to perform basic research regarding myeloma genomics and epigenomics.
