Dr. Paul B. Yu is a cardiovascular medicine specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He then completed a residency program in internal medicine at University of California, San Francisco Medical Center and a fellowship program in cardiovascular medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Yu is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Yu’s clinical interests include cardiovascular disease, pulmonary vascular disease and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Yu’s has written more than 40 peer-reviewed publications. His research focuses on how bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and TGF-β signaling contribute to pulmonary and systemic vascular disease and BMP/ TGF-β signals regulate the remodeling and function of mesenchyme-derived tissues.
