As a dedicated head and neck pathologist and current co-investigator for the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Head and Neck SPORE, my expertise in evaluating squamous neoplasia will allow for tissue histologic assessment and biomarker expression analysis. I will work closely with Dr. Stephen Lai in the assessment of tumors and lymph nodes in the murine xenograft tumor model. We are already actively collaborating on Head & Neck Squamous carcinoma and thyroid cancer projects. Additionally, I will provide technical expertise regarding immunohistochemical staining of human specimens and will evaluate these studies. I will also actively participate in discussions regarding integration of the histologic and molecular findings in this study. Resources for correlative tissue studies are available as this project moves forward.
