Matthew Steinhauser, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, followed by his fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Steinhauser joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2019. His clinical interests include general cardiology and cardiovascular disease prevention. Dr. Steinhauser has over 50 publications and is a member of the American Heart Association, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
