Professional Narrative

I am genetics specialized in bioinformatics of functional genomics data, a field I have been engaged since 2003 as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. I have performed SAGE (Serial analysis of gene expression), oligo-microarray analyses, and NGS analyses (Exome-seq, RRBS, RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, microbiome analysis) for several projects. I have dedicated significant effort to develop novel bioinformatic approaches related to gene expression data integration. Recently, I have developed BioPlat (Biomarkers Platform) and Multiomix software (https://www.multiomix.org), two open-source bioinformatics resources, which provides a set of analytic tools for the discovery and evaluation of novel prognostic and predictive cancer biomarkers based on integration and re-use of multiomic data. Currently, I am Co-PI of the Oncogenomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility of the U54 NCI-NIH project and codirector of the Basic and Applied Immunological Research Center at the School of Medical Science – National University of La Plata (Argentina).
