Professional Narrative

During her doctoral training, Dr. Marin acquired expertise on the impact of stress and stress hormones on the modulation of negative emotional memories. She then pursued a 4-year postdoctoral training in order to deepen her knowledge of the modulation of memory processes, with a particular focus on memories linked to fear and traumatic memories. Since September 2016, she has now run her own research laboratory. The work of her team aims to better understand the environmental and biological factors that influence the formation of memories linked to fear and memories of safety. This work aims to identify the mechanisms that confer increased vulnerability to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety disorders.
