Dr. Joanne (Jo) Clark-Matott began teaching at Harvard as a TA for LIFESCI 2 in 2018. Previously, Dr Clark-Matott served as Core Faculty for Mind, Brain, Behavior, and Disease (MBBD) at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Until 2020, Dr. Clark-Matott held a Research Instructor appointment at HMS investigating the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in aging, sleep disruption, and neurodegenerative disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
In 2020, Dr Clark-Matott transitioned into full-time undergraduate teaching as Preceptor in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard College.
Dr Clark-Matott was a first-generation student and originates from Northeast London but has made her life in Boston and its surrounding cities since 2007. In her spare time Dr. Clark-Matott enjoys bringing her knowledge of biomechanics up to par, and getting outdoors with her young daughter, husband, and dog Lulu.
