Dr. Jairam Eswara is an Associate Surgeon in the Division of Urology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Brigham and Women’s at Faulkner Hospital, Boston.
He was graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics. His internship in General Surgery as well as his Residency in Urology were completed at Massachusetts General Hospital.
In 2007 Dr. Eswara received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program. Dr. Eswara went on to complete a fellowship at Washington University, St. Louis, where he specialized in urologic trauma and reconstruction. There, he was an Instructor in Urologic Surgery at Washington University, as well as an Attending Surgeon at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
Dr. Eswara’s research interests include the surgical outcomes of urologic prosthetics and devices, the treatment of urinary fistulae and strictures, urogenital tissue engineering and allotransplantation, neurogenic bladder, disorders of metabolism associated with gastrointestinal substitution in the urinary tract, and national trends in the genitourinary trauma and reconstruction.
