Dr.Brand is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Neurology at MGH, Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute. He has a PhD in Human Genetics and an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh.His background is in both quantitative and molecular biology.His research focuses on the statistical and computational aspects of the genetic analysis of complex disease. Currently, he is using next generation sequencing to explore the genetic etiology behind neurodevelopment disorders and congenital anomalies.
