BRIEF SUMMARY: I was born on Sunday November 11, 1973 at Nsukka in Enugu State, Nigeria. My primary education was at Ekulu primary school G.R.A Enugu from 1979 to 1985 where I obtained my First School Leaving Certificate. Secondary education was at Marist Brothers Juniorate Uturu Okigwe in Abia State from 1985 to 1991 where I obtained my West African examination Council –WAEC. From 1991 to 1998, I had Undergraduate Medical Education at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu Campus and obtained MBBS in 1998. One-year internship and one-year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) were undertaken in 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 respectively. This was followed by a brief period as a medical officer with El Shaddai Hospital Enugu State from 2001 to 2002. I undertook my residency training program with the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria from 2002 to 2009 when I obtained my Fellowship. During this period I was the Chief resident from 2005 to 2009. I was appointed consultant haematologist in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in April 2010 and later appointed a Lecturer 1 in October 2011and promoted to Senior Lecturer in the department of Haematology and Immunology in October 2015 and Associate Professor in October 2018. I served as the Associate Director Institute of Molecular Medicine and Infectious Diseases of the University from 2016 to 2018. I am the current Head of Department of Haematology and Immunology and have more than 40 Publications in Peer-review. I am currently the Head of Department of Haematology and Immunology, College of Medicine University of Nigeria, Ituku-Ozalla Campus.
